Frequently Asked Questions For Pirouette® Sheer Shades

Please note, we will do your final measure.  When measuring for a quote, consider whether you want an inside or outside mounted window treatment. If inside, you’ll need to make how to measure windowsure your window is square by measuring horizontally at the top, center and bottom, vertically along both sides and center, and diagonally. Also measure the frame depth and take into account any window hardware that might obstruct the window treatment.

To ensure your window treatments fit perfectly and function properly, we recommend leaving installing to a Hunter Douglas expert.

Hunter Douglas offers a Lifetime Limited Warranty, which covers the following:

 

  • Hunter Douglas window fashion products are covered for defects in materials, workmanship or failure to operate for as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product (unless shorter periods are provided below).
  • All internal mechanisms.
  • Components and brackets.
  • Fabric delamination.
  • Operational cords for a full 7 years from the date of purchase.
  • Repairs and/or replacements will be made with like or similar parts or products.
  • Hunter Douglas motorization components are covered for 5 years from the date of purchase.

Pirouette Window Shadings can be lightly dusted or gently vacuumed with a brush attachment. Spot cleaning can be done with soft cloth or sponge moistened with lukewarm water. The shadings can also be professionally cleaned.

 

When choosing a professional ultrasonic cleaning technician, be sure to ask:

  • Will the temperature of the bath water exceed 90°F? If the water temperature is higher than the recommendation, oxidation may occur in room-darkening vanes.
  • Is your tank long enough to accommodate the length of the sheer? (Very important.) The tank used should be at least as long as the height of the sheer to allow for cleaning without folding and wrinkling the vanes.
